Zoya~Sunshine

Today I have 2 polishes from Zoya's Shinshine portion of the summer 2011 collection. This is the sparkly half of the collection.

Kimmy is a blood orange shimmer with a dusting of gold sparkles.

Tanzy is a tangerine orange with orange and gold sparkles.

You can find these on the Zoya website and I have seen them at Ulta too!

Orly Mineral FX 2011

Orly is making its move rather swiftly up my favorite polish brands list.  Last year their FX Collection had polish lovers searching all over town for the much loved Space Cadet and Galaxy Girl.  This Fall's FX collection is just a beautiful and sparkly!  I found a display at Sally's the other day and picked up 2 of the 6.  I read somewhere that November was the launch month, so I don't know why they were out or if your Sally's will have them yet.  But it is worth a phone call or a quick trip in to see-they will sell out fast.

Emberstone is a bright orange with orange and gold sparkle and I mean sparkle!
 ~outside~

 ~inside with a flash~

Rock Solid is my favorite of these two.  It is a gunmetal grey glitter with little iridescent sparkles scattered through out.  This is amazing!

This picture does not do it justice.  There is much more sparkle with the real eye.  The bottle is more accurate of what you will see on your nails.

Have these beauties made their way into you Sally's yet?

OPI~Texas Collection

Happy Thursday!  I have a few polishes from OPI's Texas Collection to share with y'all :)  These all have the sorbet finish.  (That's fancy talk for jelly finish)  These three colors are bright and cheery and make me smile.  This all are 2 coats of polish with NO top coat.

Y'all Come Back Ya Hear is a bright, tangerine orange creme.  Probably the most sheer of these three, but I just love the finish!  So shinny!

Too Pink To Hold Em is a raspberry pink creme.  Perfect for Spring toes!

Don't Mess With OPI is a light jade green creme and it is stunning!  You know me and greens, but this one is a keeper!  Love it!

OPI~Burlesque III

The OPI Burlesque 'shimmers' portion of the the collection is made up of 6 sparkly, shimmery polishes.  These are a little on the frosty side for me, but they are still really pretty.  The four I have today are all mini bottles from the 'Little Teasers' pack.

Rising Star is golden copper shimmer with golden micro glitter.

The Show Must Go On!  is a gorgeous dark raspberry shimmer with pink micro glitter.

Take the Stage is an orange shimmer with copper and golden micro glitter.

Ali's Big Break is a beautiful red with red glitter.

OPI~Burlesque

Disclaimer:  Prepare to be razzle dazzled!

The Burlesque collection by OPI has to be the most talked about upcoming collection to come out since I started Nail'd & Polish'd over a year ago.  I have been hearing about it, probably since late June.  So when I called my favorite beauty supply and they said it was in, I hot footed it over there!

The Burlesque collection is made up of 6 glitters and 6 shimmers.  This is OPI's Holiday 2010 collection and I believe it will be available towards the end of October, but, check Transdesign.  The glitters are a must!  The shimmers on the other hand looked a little too frosty for me, but I did pick up a couple to show you.  I have so many plans for these glitters, hopefully you won't get tired of seeing all of my comparisons :)  Today I have Sparkle-icious and Extra-va-vaganza!

Sparkle-icious is simply stunning!  It has every color of the rainbow in glitter in a clear base.
1 coat of Sparkle-icious

2 coats of Sparkle-icious

Extra-va-vaganza! is...orange!  I love orange glitter!  This is a beautiful orange, gold, and coppery glitter party in a sheer orange base.  Perfect for Halloween and Halloween nail art-can't you just see spiders and webs on top of this orange goodness?

China Glaze~Awakening Collection

Halloween is quickly approaching.  My kids have decided what they want to be and now it's my turn to make their ideas reality.  I love Halloween and I am really getting excited!

China Glaze is ready for Halloween with their great Awakening collection of 3 Halloween colors.  Zombie Zest, Ick-A-Bod-Y, & Mummy May I are 3 festive and glitter packed pretties!

Zombie Zest is a sheer olive green polish packed with light and dark green glitter and I see gold glitter too.  I really thought I would hate this color(I'm sure you have heard me go on and on about my love/hate for green polish) but not Zombie Zest-I really like it!

Ick-A-Bod-Y is a sheer black polish with gorgeous orange glitter.  This polish screams Halloween to me!

Mummy May I is a pretty dark purple polish with a great shade of purple glitter.  The color of the glitter is a grape-ish purple and it pops off of the darker base.  It's purple, it's dark, of course it's my favorite of the trio.

My set came with the CG FastForward Top Coat and I am really excited to try it.  I don't know why I never picked it up before.  I'll let you know what I think soon!

Deborah Lippmann

Sorry about the lack of posts the last week.  Summer officially began last Friday and I have been keeping my kids busy.  I'll get this new summer schedual figured out and you'll see more post soon, I promise!  But I do have some stunning and awesome polish for you.  I have 2 words, Deborah Lippmann.  If you have not tried Deborah Lippmann Polish, you HAVE to.  Her colors are gorgeous, the glitters are amazing and the application is flawless!  You can find these and other beauties at the Deborah Lippmann website, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, & Barney's.

Happy Birthday is a rainbow of every color, shape and size of glitter.  It really looks like they poured confetti into the bottle.  This color is fun and unique.

Supermodel is a collabation between Deborah Lippmann and Supermodel Dree Hemingway and is described as a "sheerish reddish-orange" but to me it's a gorgeous tangerine orange jelly!

Hard Candy~Lava

What a gorgeous color I have for you today!  Lava by Hard Candy is a beautiful, sparkly, fiery orange glitter-rama!  The only bad part is my nails-uggg!  If you missed yesterdays post, the culprit is Walmart's blue nail polish remover-DON"T buy it.  Spend a few more dollars and get some Zoya Remove or OPI Expert Touch.  Anyways, back to this stunner of a nail polish :)

Diamond Cosmetics~Spring 2010, Part 1

I have some exciting new goodies to share with you guys in the next week or so.  I have a bunch of new colors and a few other fun things up my sleeve.

Today kicks off my vote for best Spring 2010 collection.  Diamond Cosmetics is a hidden gem of a company.  The polish is only $2.25 a bottle and they have some of the best colors, does Chainmail Charm ring a bell??.  The Spring 2010 collection is 6 beautiful colors.  It's pretty and feminine, just how I think a Spring collection should be.  There is definitley a color for everyone.   You can order Diamond Cosmetics hereDiamond Cosmetics is a company every nail polish lover should check out!

Serendipity is a light pale blue with a hint of shimmer.
This photographed a lot brighter and more blue than it actually is. It definitley has more of a gray tone to it.

Razzmatazz is a soft rosey pink with a slight magenta iridescence.

Orange Blush is a soft pale coral creme.  I really like this color-not to dark or bright, just right.

Sorry about the uneven nails.  I had a break on my index nail and since I am not one to patch, I trimmed them all down :(  I know you all can sympathize with me!

OPI, Hong Kong Collection

The Spring 2010, 12 piece, Hong Kong Collection from OPI released yesterday and it is beautiful!  This collection is the best OPI collection I've seen in a while.  I only chose 5 polishes from this collection.  The other 7 are beautiful, but didn't knock my socks off.

Meet Me on the Star Ferry is a dark mauve shimmer with tiny specks of multi-colored glitter.  I nearly passed on this color because it looked like a frost, a muave frost=double no-no.  But it's really pretty and so sparkly!
Meet Me on the Star Ferry

Dim Sum Plum is a bright berry creme.  It photographed a little brighter than it looks in real life.
Dim Sum Plum

Red My Fortune Cookie is more of a dark orange coral creme.  Definitely more on the orange side than the red side.
Red My Fortune Cookie

Suzi Says Feng Shui is a gorgeous medium blue creme.  This color also photographed a bit lighter and brighter than the actual color.
Suzi Says Feng Shui

Jade is the New Black is a beautiful jade green creme.  My prediction: this will be the "it" color of this collection.  Get her while you can!

Jade is the New Black

What do you all think about this new collection?  Suzi Says Feng Shui is my favorite.

I was going to break this post into two, but then I got a phone call from the hubby and after 5 weeks of working out of town, he is coming home! So this will be it for the week. We need some much needed family and alone time!

Have a great weekend!

Zoya~Gwin, Lana, & Adina

I am sure by now you all know that I LOVE Zoya!  They never fail to impress me and the Reverie collection is no exception.  I only bought 3 of the 6, but now I am regretting that decision.  The 3 I did get are gorgeous!

Gwin is a tangeriene duochrome dream.  I t has a gold and green sheen and sparkle to it.

Gwin

Lana is not really orange, it's more coral with a green and gold douchrome shimmer.

Lana

Adina is by far my favorite.  It is a dark lavender with a green duochrome shimmer.

Adina

Zoya's Reverie collection is available on their website for $7.  Run, don't walk and get the whole collection!

Halloween Inspired

Is everyone ready for Halloween?  I think I can safely say that I am.  My 4year old has been living in his costume since Sunday and he just might need a back up.  Since this is Halloween week, I have some Halloween inspired nail art for you.

I used 1 coat of OPI Heeeer's Jack! Topped that with 1 coat of Sinful Colors Serena and Chloe and then stamped with Konad plate M65 and special Konad polish in black

Wet n Wild

The first make-up I ever owned was Wet n Wild.  What pre-teen could pass up the .99 price tag and cool colors?  As I grew older, I still had a hard time passing up that .99 price and those cool colors.  While times have changed and the price has gone up of most of their line, Wet n Wild still offers great polish and make-up at an totally affordable price.  They've just came out with a bunch of new stuff that I am dying to try!

The 3 colors I have today are from their Craze Collection.  Cute little round bottles, the only problem I had was that the cap and brush were a little too short for me.  No biggy, just my preference.

Nocturnal is a super dark inky blue/black.  It is definatley blue, but very dark.  My favorite of the 3.

Inferno is a shimmery orange.  Almost a burnt orange.  I love this color for Halloween and PowerLifterChick did a really cool Konad with it you should check out at her fabulous blog, The Kronicles of a Konader

Glitz is a really sweet fushia disco ball glitter.

Last Friday of Summer '09

If you like corals and orange glitter, this ones for you.  Since next week is Fall, I thought I'd search my stash for one last summer swatch.  This is a little hard for me because I don't like rules about nail polish and make up.  I say wear what you want, when you want to!  I tend to favor the darker polish colors, but I stepped out of the box and came up with this for you.  Sinful Colors~UFO & Misa~Stop Rewinding, Just Fast Forward on my index finger with UFO on top.  UFO has caught my eye a couple of times, so the last time I went to Walgrens, I bought it.  Stop Rewinding, Just Fast Forward is a bright coral creme.  I really like the UFO on top of the Stop Rewinding, Just Fast Forward.

Anyways, enjoy your last summer of 2009 weekend!  I am sad to see it go it truly was one of the best summers I've ever had, as a parent anyways ;)
