Liebster Blog Award & Top 10 Award

I was tagged a while ago by Lizzy from The Nature of Beauty blog for the Liebster Blog Award & the Top 10 Cosmetics List Award.  Lizzy is just a doll and her blog is mostly about make-up, but she has a little something for everyone.  So go check her out!  Thanks Lizzy, these were fun to do!

1. Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows? I would say palettes & eyeshadows. You can use eyeliners as shadows and I have every color of the rainbow

2. Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again? Chop it off! In fact, I am doing just that on Wednesday.

3. Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek? Hmmm, I guess coral
4. If you had $1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup? Clothes
5. Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner or eyeliner as lipstick? Since I have done this many times, eyeliner as lipstick. In the early and mid '90's, if you wanted a dark lip, we would use navy eyeliner and red lipstick over it. Voila dark burgundy!
6. Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora? I'm a MAC girl.
7. Would you rather use only one eyeshadow color or one lip color the rest of your life? One eyeshadow.
8. Would you rather wear winter clothes in the summer or summer clothes in the winter? I hate being hot, so summer clothes in the winter. You can always warm up with a blanket.
9. Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round? Finally and easy one, DARK!
10. Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a pony tail or a messy bun? Messy bun
11. Would you rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss? Never use lipgloss
12. Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all? Have none. You can always draw them on. Shaving would probably give you stubble.
13. Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish? I LOVE my nail polish, but I love my makeup just a little bit more.

A Fun Make-Up Tag

Kellie over at Also Know As... posted this tag today and I thought it would be fun to do.  I love nail polish, but my passion is make-up & skin care.  I love reading about what everybody uses and I have found some amazing companies like Aromaleigh and Fyrinnae since I started this blog. 

How many times do you wash your face daily?

I wash once, in the morning.  But I ALWAYS take my make-up off at night.  I use Almay Eye Make-Up Remover Pads and then I rinse with water.
What skin type do you have?
I would say it's normal, with hormonal flair ups


What is your current facial wash?
I use Re Vitae Deep Cleansing Lotion by Helga Van Dyke. 
Do you exfoliate?
Yes!  I use MAC Microfine Refinisher a couple times a week

What brand do you use?
MAC & Helga Van Dyke
What moisturizer do you use?
Glycolic Hydroxy Moisture Creme w/ Sunscreen in the AM and if I feel dry at night, I've been using Hope In a Jar and I love it!


Do you have freckles?
Some

I am totally paranoid about wrinkles so YES!
Do you or did you have acne prone skin?
No, but I started breaking out along the jawline when I hit 34

10 Things That Make Me Happy Tag

I was tagged by Krystle who's fabulous blog is The Girl Who Nailed It.  The rules are, I am to post 10 things that make me happy and then tag 10 people/blogs.

So here it goes.

1.  My son Brody.  I have 3 kids and they all 3 make happy, but Brody is different.  He has an old soul and a way of making me smile several times a day.  He has a way of stealing your heart.  Plus, today is his birthday!
2.  The ocean.  I love spending the day on the beach.  There is nothing more relaxing that the sound of the waves and the smell of the salty air.
3.  Bridges.  I love the architecture and the way old bridges look.  Some day I want to go on a road trip and take pictures of bridges.
4.  Books.  There is nothing better than sitting down and with a good new or old book.
5.  Christmas.  I love holidays, but Christmas is my favorite.
6.  Going out to eat.  I love to be cooked for!
7.  Friends.  I have some of the best friends.  Some are old, some are new, but they all are my true friends.  I know I could call any one of them and they would be right there for me.
8.  Lola.  She is my puppy.  My husband got her for me for Christmas and she is just the best!
9.  Make-up.  I don't just have make-up, I have a collection.  Make up always fits and it doesn't make you look fat :)
10.  Making things.  I love sewing and making crafts.

Happy 101 Meme Tag

Thanks to CucumPear at CucumPear'sPandemonium of Cosmetics blog for this really great tag!  I am to list 10 things that make me happy and tag 10 blogs.  So, here we go:
1.  Let me state the obvious, Nail Polish, especially new nail polish.  There is nothing like getting a beautiful new polish!
2.  My kids laughing.  You can't help but smile when they are happy and laughing.  They have brought me so much joy and changed my life!
3.  Sunsets.  I love sunsets.  Nothing like a beautiful sunset after a stressful or busy day.
4.  The ocean.  I miss seeing it every day. 
5.  My new puppy, Lola.  She is the best Christmas present I have ever received.  I never thought I was a dog person!  You should see her sweaters!  And check out her nose-it has a star birth mark!  Oh, and she has the Virgin Mary on her leg-just kidding!  But the star is pretty special.

6.  Spending alone time with my husband.  It is so nice to just hang out with my best friend.
7.  Seeing live music
8.  The city.  That can be any city, but my heart belogs to Long Beach, CA.  I lived there for a few years and it was the best time of my life.
9.  Good food.  I love eating out and when the food is exquisite, it makes me very happy and usually very full!
10.  Cupcakes and cookies.  What can I say, I have a serious sweet tooth!

So I am going to break the rules here and tag one more, but before I do, I have a 'duh moment' story for you.  The other night on the news, they were reporting on how thieves were following people to their cars from the MAC store and them robbing them.  I though that was kind of odd, maybe a person with a make-up fetish or something.  Well, silly me they were talking about the Mac store, not the MAC store!  I am such a dork!
