Wet n' Wild~On The Prowl

Halloween is just around the corner and I am so excited!  I have 2 kids who know what they want to be and my little one can't decide.  So I am going to get busy coming up with a werewolf and a zombie bride(I can't wait to do her make-up) costumes and wait until my youngest makes up his mind.  I finally tracked down the Wet n' Wild~On the Prowl Halloween collection.  This collection took it's sweet time to show up in my neck of the woods.  When I did finally find it, I didn't find a full display.  But I did get 5 of the 8 and I am still searching for a couple more.  I found these polishes at CVS for $1.99 each.  You need these polishes, so find them, wear them, love them.  These are all 2 coats.

Correction Tape is a fun polish!  Its a clear base with gold, fuchsia, & bright blue, medium hex and square glitter and a smaller black hex.  This is a fun color that would also work for Mardi Gras too!

Tangled in my Web is a clear base with small black hex glitter.  All by it's self, I don't really like it, but layered over other colors, it's really cool.

Behind Closed Doors is a sheer black base with medium red hex and tiny red glitter.  I LOVE this one!  I even like how trippy it looks.  I tried to float the glitter on, but when I did that, it made the base look weird.  I like it though.

Jungle Fever is a dusty apple green shimmer.  Not sure if the name, Jungle Fever, is Halloween-ish, but the color sure is.  It was a little sheer, but 3 coats would take care of that.

Buy Me a Drink is a beautiful smokey berry shimmer.  It has a slight light from with in glow that we haven't seen in a while.  Such a gorgeous shade!

I am going to layer the glitters over different colors to show you the versatility of them.  This is a really great collection and if you can find it, get it!  I still need Cougar Attack & Ready to Pounce :)

Sally Hansen

Today I have a couple of Sally Hansen polishes for your viewing pleasure.

Fireberry Red is a berry red with fushia glitter.

Plum Luck is the most beautiful purple creme polish! BUT, the brush sucks!  For some reason, the brushes in the SH Complete Manicure are so cumbersome that it strikes a major nerve with me.  I might have to put in another bottle because the color is so beautiful.

Here are a few more Zoya swatches for you viewing pleasure :)

Moxie is beautiful berry creme.

Ki is a purple shimmer duo chrome.  It really has a green flash to it, you just can't see it too good in this picture.

Robyn is a stunning bright blue.  I actually won this color a few weeks ago.  It was a twitter 'Pixie Prize'.  If you don't foloow Zoya in twitter, you should and you can find them here.

Don't foget about the Zoya Polish Exchange!!!

CND Colour and Effects

CND is like an old friend that you might not see all the time, but the minute you're together, it's like you were never appart.  The first salon I ever worked at, way back in the early 90's, carried Creative Nail Design exclusively.  I loved it then and I love it now.  They recently revamped their line and packaging.  They have their core line of creme Colour and then they have their Effects.  The Effects are pearl, shimmer, and sparkle-each with a great array of colors, making the possibilities endless.  I have Bloodline, Inkwell, and Copper Pearl Effect to share with you.

Inkwell is a blackened blue creme.

Bloodline is a rich, dark brown-berry creme.

Copper Pearl is just that.  It is a sheer pearl with a copper flash.  I couldn't get a good picture of it all by itself, but look what it did to Bloodline and Inkwell!

I can't wait to get my hands on some more of these Colours and Effects.  Saphire and Crimson Sparkle!  Can you imagine?

**These CND products were sent to me for review**

Diamond Cosmetics

I have a few more Diamond Cosmetics polishes for you today.  I ordered Venom, Oh, Tiff!, Midnight Blue, and The Naughty Intern a few weeks ago and they are too great to stick in the 'untried' box.  You can visit Diamond Cosmetics website here.

Venom is a beautiful vampy color-just how I like 'em!

Oh, Tiff! is their Tiffany Blue.  I love this blue with just a hint of green color.

Midnight Blue is more of a purple-blue.  The purple didn't show up at all in this picture :(

The Naughty Intern is a great red-brown creme.

OPI Designer Series

I have two great colors from the OPI Designer Series.  Sapphire and Extravagance are holographic beauties.

Sapphire is a pale blue holographic color.  I found it to be on the sheer side.  I was hoping this color would be a little more blue.  Once it's on, it seems more silver.  It is very pretty, just not what I expected.  You can see the blue in the bottle, and not so much on my nails.

Extravagance is beautiful, rich, berry goodness!  What a beautiful color.

OPI, Hong Kong Collection

The Spring 2010, 12 piece, Hong Kong Collection from OPI released yesterday and it is beautiful!  This collection is the best OPI collection I've seen in a while.  I only chose 5 polishes from this collection.  The other 7 are beautiful, but didn't knock my socks off.

Meet Me on the Star Ferry is a dark mauve shimmer with tiny specks of multi-colored glitter.  I nearly passed on this color because it looked like a frost, a muave frost=double no-no.  But it's really pretty and so sparkly!
Meet Me on the Star Ferry

Dim Sum Plum is a bright berry creme.  It photographed a little brighter than it looks in real life.
Dim Sum Plum

Red My Fortune Cookie is more of a dark orange coral creme.  Definitely more on the orange side than the red side.
Red My Fortune Cookie

Suzi Says Feng Shui is a gorgeous medium blue creme.  This color also photographed a bit lighter and brighter than the actual color.
Suzi Says Feng Shui

Jade is the New Black is a beautiful jade green creme.  My prediction: this will be the "it" color of this collection.  Get her while you can!

Jade is the New Black

What do you all think about this new collection?  Suzi Says Feng Shui is my favorite.

I was going to break this post into two, but then I got a phone call from the hubby and after 5 weeks of working out of town, he is coming home! So this will be it for the week. We need some much needed family and alone time!

Have a great weekend!

BB Couture Part 2

Today I have the other two BB Couture polishes that I ordered, Fairy Blood and Obsession.

Fairy Blood is a great red with fine red glitter.  Once again, I found the consistency on thin side.

Fairy Blood

Obsession was my little hidden gem.  This color is by far my favoite of the 4.  It's a deep purple/berry shimmer.  The formula on this one was perfect.
Obsession

I also received one of their Skin Moisturizing Oil Candles.

These are really cool and I have seen these types of candles at the last few trade shows I've been to.  They are great for massage and really work.  The idea behind them is to light the candle and melt it down just a bit and use the warm melted wax as a massage oil.  It's great for dry cuticles and dry skin.  It works and it feels really good!

Bloom and Ozotic

Whoo hoo these are a couple of stunners!  I would like to introduce my new beauties direct from Australia-Bloom~Jessica Mauboy and Ozotic~#505.  Thank you again Nixxy!

Bloom~Jessica Mauboy-I am nearly speechless with this one.  It is a deep berry with burgundy shimmer and glitter.  If you can get your hands on this one, do it!

Ozotic~505 is a beautiful sheer purple green duochrome.  Pretty sheer on its own, but still beautiful.  I layered it over Diamond Cosmetics~Plum Pie in the Sky(index) and Nubar~Forest. It looks different over each color.  Super cool!

Final day of Zoya love fest

Happy Friday.  Today is the last day of my Zoya love fest.  I really wish I had some of their blues and greens to show you, but that will have to wait until the next Zoya love fest.  You can pick up Zoya here and they are $6.  BUT, rumor has is that they are upping the price to $7, so for those who have been wanting to try Zoya, now's the time!

I have Sloane and Norra for you this morning.

Sloane is a blackberry color with magenta shimmer

Norra is a really pretty berry color with a very, very subtle shimmer to it

L.A. Girl Rock Star

I was really excited to try these polishes! I decided on 3 great colors with sparkle! There are 16 shades in this collection and I got mine online at Cherry Culture or you can them directly from L.A. Girl Cosmetics. First up is Party Animal The color rocks, but the polish, not so much. I had issues with this one. It seemed like it gelled in the bottle a little. It didn't go on thick, just weird. I had a really hard time getting it even and the first coat was super streaky. The second coat evened it out A LOT. But I still wasn't happy with they way my application went. It dried nicely and held up pretty well. I am going to try a few drops of thinner to see if maybe I got a bad seed. The color is to die for. It is a beautiful dark wine with a fine glitter of the same color, defiantly my favorite(minus the issues) of the 3. The picture doesn't show the glitter at all, but trust me it's there and it's really pretty :)

Addict is more of a berry color with sparkle

Rockstar is a black polish with purple sparkle. Sometimes it looks black and other times it looks dark purple.
