Hard To Find Friday

Happy Friday and welcome to my new idea to change things up a bit here on Nail'd & Polish'd.  Have you ever seen the the letters HTF?  Well, in the nail polish world they stand for Hard To Find.  I thought I would start a once-in-awhile Friday post called Hard To Find Friday and share all my nail polish treasures.  This won't be a weekly thing since I don't have that many.  But hopefully I can get some of my fellow bloggers to help me out.  I thought this might be a good resource in case you are ever out shopping and come across a HTF.  First up my small China Glaze OMG collection!

In 2008 China Glaze released one their most coveted collections called the OMG! collection.  12 stunning holos with cute little names like QT, L8R G8R, & OMG.  China Glaze can do holographic colors.  Don't let the Tronica collection fool you, take a look at these.

Essie~Fall 2010

Happy Wednesday everyone!  This is the last of the Fall 2010 polish collections that I have to share with you.  It may still be fall, but there is snow 30 miles up the road from my house and it is 38 degrees outside today-that is winter behavior, lol.  Essie has stepped out of the box in the last year and offered some amazing colors!  Their Fall collection is no exception.  I have 4 of the 6 colors, Merino Cool, Sew Psyched, Limited Addiction, and Little Brown Dress.

Merino Cool is a beautiful muted lavendar-taupe creme.

Sew Psyched suprised me.  I didn't care for it much in the bottle, but I love it on my nails!  It is a sage green with just a touch of shimmery pearl.

Limited Addiction is a great brick red creme.

Little Brown Dress is a dark, dark brown creme.

Catrice

These 3 beautiful polishes are from my very first polish swap!  The wonderful Suzanne from Delta Cephei was looking for a few China Glaze polishes and since China Glaze is very easy for me to find, I swapped with her.  I love the polishes she sent me.
London's Weather Forecast is a grey base with tiny blue shimmer.  This is such a great color!

From Dusk to Dawn is a taupe creme.

The Devil Wear Red is a gorgeous vampy, blackened wine creme.
Thank you so much for swapping Suzanne!

Confetti~Happy Birthday & Moonstruck

CVS has some new goodies for us polish lovers.  I took a few days this weekend and took my mom and kids to the beach in Northern Califonia.  While I was there, I managed to sneak into a CVS and pick up a couple of bottles of Confetti Polish in Happy Birthday and Moonstruck.  They were only $1.99 each and I must say I was impressed with the colors.

Happy Birthday is a purple with purple micro glitter.
It really is purple, rather than this blueish purple color my camera picked up.

Moonstruck is a gorgeous mushroomy taupe creme.
Don't mind the dent in the ring finger.  Wow, it really showed up good!

I don't have any information on the company who makes Confetti polish.  I can't find any info anywhere.  But I am hoping to check out my CVS tonight and pick up a few more!

And a few of my weekend get-away :)
The kids playing on the beach.  The weather was really nice.  It was actually about 70 degrees in this picture, just no sunshine

The hillside across the street from the beach

I love this rock.
We went to Bodega Bay, CA and up the coast a bit.  We saw whales, yes whales, the kids built sandcastles and played in the ocean.  It was a great couple of days!  I grew up going to Bodega Bay in the summer.  This is one of my most favorite places I have been.  Thanks for letting me share :)

China Glaze~Vintage Vixen

Today I have Hey Doll, Swing Baby, and Classic Camel for the China Glaze Vintage Vixen Collection.  This collection will be avaiable mid to late July at your favorite CG retailer.

Hey Doll is the pink lady of the bunch.  It's more of a dusty rose shimmer than pink.

Swing Baby is a sparkly taupe.  It is super sparkly!

Classic Camel has not been my friend.  My bottle is clumpy and thick.  I put thinner in and it still just did not apply well.  But, you can see the color and thats the main thing.  It is a true camel color with fine gold micro glitter.

**These polishes were sent to me for review**

China Glaze~Vintage Vixen

Vintage Vixen is everywhere!  Even here!  As I am sure most of you know, Vintage Vixen is China Glaze's Fall 2010 Collection.  When I first heard about this collection, I knew it was one I would love.  Old Hollywood, rich, dark polish colors-two of my favorite things.  Vintage Vixen does not disappoint.  All 12 of these polishes have a shimmery, sparkly finish to them.  There is something for everyone and I think even the die-hard creme only polish lovers will even find a polish or two they can't live without.  The Vintage Vixen Collection will be available mid to late July at your favorite China Glaze retailer.

Today I have First Class Ticket, Ingrid, & Foxy.
First Class Ticket is a beautiful purple shimmer with a dusting of turquoise micro glitter.

Ingrid is a dark taupe with hint of gold micro glitter.

Foxy is a stunning color.  The bottle does not do it justice.  It is a burgundy shimmer with a light coppery sheen to it.  The cool base and warm sparkle bounce off each other, creating an amazing color!

These polishes were sent to me for review.

Essie~Resort Collection

I have some beautiful colors for you guys today!  When I saw these babies, I knew I had to have all 4.  The Essie Resort Collection is my favorite, so far, of the summer collections that I have seen.  I decided to just get the mini sizes in the super cute cube.  But I am sure eventually, I'll get the full sized bottles too!

Playa del Platinum is light grey-taupe creme.

Turquoise and Caicos is a beautiful light turquoise.  I would say it is a jelly!  This is 2 coats, no top coat.

Splash of Grenadine is a purpley rosey creme.

Lapis of Luxury is my favorite.  It is a gorgeous cornflower blue.  I would call this a jelly also!

All four of these are beautiful and say get them all!  Transdesign has them in stock and I am sure your other favorite e-tailer or retailers will have them too!

Color Club~Rebel Debutante

Today I have the other 3 polishes from the Color Club Debutante set I found at Ross.  These 3 are my favorite of the set.  High Society, Ms Socialite, and Who Are You Wearing  are three beautiful cremes.  Out of all seven, these gave me the least amount of application trouble.

High Society is a great mushroomy, taupe creme.

Ms Sociaite is a pretty, bright plum creme.

I wanted Who Are You Wearing sooooo bad!  This color did not disappoint, either.  It is really hard to descibe this color.  It is a very light, pale, greyed lavendar creme.  I thought it was going to be whiter, but the touch of lavendar in it made it a great and very unique color.

I am glad I waited and was lucky enough to find this set at Ross.  The crazy thing about this set, was that it wasn't labeled with the polish names.  Guess that's why is was $7.99 at Ross :)

Essie~Mink Muffs

I have the one and only Essie color I liked out of their Fall 2009 collection.  It is Mink Muffs.

Mink Muffs is a creme dark taupe.  I had drying issues with this bottle-dents

China Glaze

Happy Friday everyone!
I ordered these polishes a while ago and they have been sitting by my computer for well over a month, just begging to be swatched.  So, I finally got to it.  These are from the Retro Diva collection and they are the 2 I liked the best.  Cords is a super frosty taupey-gray and Stroll ia a sparkly cranberry red.  They are great colors for fall or any time of the year.

I have a crazy busy weekend with several kids birthday parties, so have a fabulous weekend and I catcha on Monday...
