Sally Hansen & Pure Ice

Today I have 2 'drug store' brands, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear and Pure Ice.  Now Sally and I have not had the best relationship, but we definitley kissed and made up!  Wet Cement is my gray!  I love this color and have nothing bad to say about this polish.  Pure Ice is a polish I have never tried before.  The application was fine, but it was super sheer.  A lot more sheer than it looks in the bottle.

Wet Cement is a beautiful light gray creme.

Busted us a really sheer lavender shimmer.  I was really disappointed in this color.  It is really sheer.  You can see in the bottle how pretty and dense looking it is.  This will be good for layering, too sheer or me.

LA Girl~Rock Star Collection

Today I have 3 great polishes for you!  These are from the LA Girl Rock Star collection in Head Banging, Groupie, and Heavy Metal.  This collection is really great.  If you haven't checked them out yet, you must!  The links are after the pictures.

Head Banging is a super sparkly teal green with fine teal and silver glitter.  This polish is really sparkly and the picture just didn't do it justice.

Groupie is an electric purple with purple and magenta fine glitter.

Heavy Metal is a a great gun metal gray with silver glitter and subtle rainbow fine glitter.

LA Girl Can be found on their website and I if you have never heard of Cherry Culture, you can check them out here

A few months ago I posted swatches of Rock Star, Party Animal, & Addict.  If you want to check them out, I will warn you, it was about 1 month into my blog and well, crappy photos.  Here you are, please be kind :)

**I was sent these great polishes for review**

BB Couture Part 1

Happy Monday & Happy February!  I have two polishes today from BB Couture.  BB Couture's polish is a "4 in 1" polish.  Meaning it's a basecoat, strengthener, polish, & top coat all in one.  This is my first experience with BB Couture, and I must say I didn't have any major problems with it.  I thought the formula was a bit thin, but it evened out with a second coat.  I am not a fan of the all in one polishes.  I swear by a good base coat.  Honestly, I expected these polishes to be thick and gloppy considering they are a 4 in 1, but they are not.

Opposites Attract is a great gray with a slight shimmer to it and every so often, you'll see a black glitter speck. This is a great color!  My favorite gray by far!
Opposites Attract

Tink Pink is a very sheer pink with tiny iridescent pieces of glitter.  I didn't expect this polish to be so sheer, I was hoping for a little more coverage in 2 coats.
Tink Pink

BB Couture can be found here and the polish retails for $9.95 and the treatments for $11.95.

American Apparel~Mouse & Hassid

American Apparel recently launched their new Nail Lacquer line of 18 shades that retail for $6 a bottle.  I was sent 2 polishes from their line for review.  They sent me Mouse and Hassid.  I am so happy they sent me Mouse.  I have been on the hunt for that perfect gray for my skin tone and guess what-it's Mouse!  Mouse is a gray creme with a tiny hint of pink to it.

Both pics are 2 coats, no top coat, inside with a flash(still no sun in 'sunny' California)

Hassid is a black creme.  This is 2 coats, no top coat.  I think 1 coat would have worked just fine.  **Bonus points-it works for Konad!!!  You'll have to take my work, I am out of acetone and did a quicky :)

American Apparel~Hassid

All in all, I am thoroughly impressed with American Apparel Nail Lacquer.  I can't wait to order some!  You can find them here.

**Disclaimer** The kind people at American Apparel sent me these sample nail lacquers for review.

Zoya~Harley

A couple of weeks ago I took advantage of Zoya's Hot Lips promo and I couldn't just get lip balm, right?  So, I bought 2 polishes, too.  Harley and Snowsicle are the two I chose and today I have Harley for you.

Harley is a cool, light lavendar-gray with a light pearl and a light dusting of shimmer.  It is very pretty.  This is 2 coats with a base and no top coat.

TGIF, right?

What a morning!  My kids were up with the birds, finally got 2 off to school and the power went out.  Did I mention my wet hair was in a towel?  Just about an hour ago the power came back on and ever since then internet has been all squirrely! TGIF right?  But, I have exciting news!  I won another give-away!  This one form RockerByeBaby.  I entered to win a set of matching, handmade ties from RokGear.  I chose the father/son set in royal blue with the skull damask design in black.  I'm going to buy my other son one too and give it to them for Christmas.  I guess I can officially say I've started my Christmas shopping.

Anyways, more China Glaze today.  Black Diamond-what a great color!  It is a shimmery dark gray with silver and blue fine glitter.  I think there might even be a subtle hint of pink shimmer too.  This is a beautiful color.

China Glaze~Recycle

Recycle by China Glaze is a light gray creme.  It is beautiful and I love this color.  But it looks awful on me!  It turned a gray-green.  The picture looks okay, but you should have seen it in person-yuck!  I am so bummed, I searched high and low for this color and can't wear it.

3 New Barielle

I took advantage of Barielle's sale, buy 2, get 1 free, twice!  I bought 6 of their new Fall shades.  Today, I have 3 of them for you.  I love each and every color I got.  Sometimes you don't always get the color you think you're getting when you order off the web.  Its not so sunny in sunny California today, so the pics are just a tad off, but still close.

The first color is Make It A Latte.  It is a chocolate brown with a brown shimmer.

Slate of Affairs is a great slate color with blue shimmer.

Get Mauv-ing is a great creme mauve
The buy 2, get 1 sale is still going on, so scoot over to Barielle and get some polish!

Suzi Skis In The Pyrenees & Here Today...Aragone Tomorrow

Here are two more from the OPI fall 2009 collection called espania. Suzi Skis In the Pyrenees is a very dark grey cream and Here Today...Aragone Tomorrow is a very dark green creme. I must admit, Here Today...Aragone Tomorrow is beautiful. I was not a big fan of it in the bottle, but on my nails, I love it!

***I appologize for the photos, I am still trying to figure this all out***
